Gilford ‘Gil’ Kibler

Gil transfers to TCC from his previous role as Project Manager in the UTSA SBDC Center for Government Contracting (CGC) in the IED.  He brings a wealth of science, technology, engineering and manufacturing experience to our team’s technical and business assistance services in innovation, research and development  and commercialization in the manufacturing industry.

Gil’s manufacturing experience includes roles in operations, maintenance, facilities, industrial engineering and factory design. He has also owned his own computer consulting firm, working with small businesses in Houston and Austin, TX, Atlanta, GA, Nashville, TN and Charlotte, NC. His engineering background includes positions in IT, warehouse and inventory management, plant engineering, new product analysis and design and project management. Prior to joining the UTSA team ,Gil taught middle school STEM courses in Victoria, Texas and high school video game design courses in Spring, Texas. One of his passions is working to bridge the digital divide in communities where he lives.

Gil graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and has a Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
